Colin told me about his vision for the world.
“A world where everybody ‘wears their own hat’ and everybody is flourishing and prospering.”
I will attempt to explain what Colin meant when he said “wears their own hat”. On a train, the train driver “wears a train driver’s hat”, he is being a driver and he does all the tasks of his job which result in the train being moved and passengers being moved safely and on schedule to their destinations. The conductor “wears the train conductor’s hat”, is being a train conductor, doing the work of his job and fulfilling on the purpose of a train conductor.
So the way I see it is a world where everybody is taking responsibility for the position that they have chosen and making their own individual contribution to a civilization where everybody flourishes and prospers.
