Peter Pullar

I was talking with one of my friends and he was telling me about one particular activity that he enjoys. He was lamenting about the fact that he cannot do it as much as he would like because, as he gets paid for doing it, doing more would affect his social security pension and health benefits.

He is not the only one of my friends who is having this problem. Many of my friends are facing similar problems.

These people believe that they are stopped from doing many of the things that they want to do.

Most of these people trusted that there was an agreement in place that when they contributed to their society during their working lives and then would be adequately paid when they retired from the workforce.

However the government is expected to pay for this social security program and as this expense is a bigger than was planned for, the government feels a need to reduce this expense to at least some extent.

That is the system we have now and it is not working very well. We can change it though I have not yet seen a workable alternative put forward. Also an alternative system could take years to implement.

In the meantime we can work with the system that we have now, working as a community making the best use of all our resources for the benefit of all the members of the community.

I have placed some stories on this website as I want to help us think of ways that we can work as a community and as a team so we can flourish and prosper instead of experiencing an increasing amount of poverty.

International

International trade took time. It took weeks or months for cargo to arrive by ship to the destination.
Producing, packing, shipping and marketing for the export market required a significant capital investment.

We communicated by mail.
Letters took months to arrive by ship.
A much faster mail service began when international commercial air mail services started in about 1921.

Later we also had Telex, telephone, radio, telegraph and other technologies.
International telephone calls were very expensive.

The internet started in 1969 and in 1989 the World Web Web was invented.

The technology has given us opportunities to trade internationally with little or no capital expenditure.

We can sell information.
How can we sell information?
Take a look on the internet. You will see a huge amount of free information.
You will also see information products for sale.

Ebooks, trainings, audios, videos, subscription newsletters and more.

People pay for information that they believe is valuable to them.

And it can be easy to find out how valuable your information is to the people who can afford to pay for it.

For example you can test information by posting it on Facebook and seeing what response you get. Any likes or comments.

You can reply to any comments. You can message any person who likes your post and discuss about the usefulness of your information.

When you discover what information people value, you can create more and consider ways of packaging and marketing it to people who may be willing to buy.

Each country has its own unique challenges, strengths, resources and benefits. By trading internationally, we and our trading partners can benefit.

Thanks for taking time to look at this. Peter Pullar
